Vision
Romans 2:12-24/Isaiah 52:1-10: Paul is speaking to the problem of sin, permeating all of our life. There is pride in abundance and justice is waiting at the threshold. It is in Jesus that we do not experience the judgment we deserve. Paul weaves Isaiah 52, not just to scold, but to pivot: the problem isn’t Torah—it’s the heart. And the solution isn’t try-harder, but Christ, the true Messiah who never sinned, and yet was blasphemed for us.
Judgment roars, yet grace falls, melting pride, an producing joy. Behold the humble King—love incarnate, laying in the straw, making way for all who fall short.
This Christmas season, we hope that as disciples of Jesus, we get to slow down; intentionally reflecting on the grace that is offered by Jesus. How might you treasure Him more fully this Christmas season?
