Yes, But…

Series: Romans. Righteousness for the Unrighteous

Text: Romans 3:1-8

Date: Jan 18, 2026

Speaker: David Bartosik

Big Idea: Paul defends God’s righteousness by answering objections that arise when our confidence in symbols is shaken and judgment feels uncomfortable.

  • Objection 1: “So are you saying there’s no advantage in being a Jew?”

  • Objection 2: “If some Jews were unfaithful, doesn’t that mean God failed?”

  • Objection 3: “If their sin shows God’s righteousness, isn’t it unfair that they get punished?”

  • Objection 4: “If God uses their unrighteousness for His glory, wouldn’t their increased sin bring Him increased glory (good)?”
